Vulcanico Bianco
State of the wine
Vulcanico Bianco is a non-vintage wine. It is conceived as a reliable white wine, consistent over time. Not a project wine. Not an experiment. But a fixed part of the work.
Composition and origin
Pinot Blanc forms the base. A small addition of Pinot Gris complements the wine without altering it. The grapes are harvested and processed together.
Origin: Kaiserstuhl.
Work in the vineyard and cellar
After harvest, the grapes are pressed directly. Spontaneous fermentation. Ageing in used wooden barrels on fine lees. Bottled without filtration and without fining.
Style
A direct, clearly guided white wine. Tension and freshness are central, supported by a saline note that reflects the volcanic soils of the Kaiserstuhl. Not a loud wine. But precise.
